Jessica is determined to inspire others through her mantra, ‘if you can dream it, you can achieve it’.
Jessica Irwin was born with high-level cerebral palsy, but that’s never stopped her! Together with an equally high level of self-determination and raw talent, she established and now operates her commercial photography, website and graphic design business called ‘Dare2bu’.
Jessica strongly believes in the ability to learn from everyone you meet.
“Each of us has a unique skill set. If you sit down, watch and listen to someone you will take away something that you might not have gained if you had never met.”
In 2007, Jessica was introduced to renowned photographic artist Ken Duncan. Impressed with the high standard of her work and commitment to her art, Ken invited her to work at his “Created for Life” studios on the Central Coast of NSW where they worked together for six years.
Jessica discovered her passion for live music in 2012, taking her down the road of event photography. Jessica’s talent allowed her to be taken under the wing of Australian music legend Steve Balbi (Noiseworks, Mi-Sex, Black Rainbow), and further she was invited to photograph on the red carpet for the ARIA music awards.
Jessica then crossed paths with Dr Jordan Nguyen at a keynote presentation. After they attended a few music gigs together, Jordan saw first hand Jess’ desire to play music on stage. And the eye-controlled Psykinetic Music tool was born.
In 2016 Jessica played this instrument for the first time alongside the Australian Piano Quartet at the Opera House. The first of many performances with the quartet!
Little did Jessica know Jordan was planning something massive for her that would utilize all the lessons from her last eight performances, and would push Jessica even further. The 2017 Telstra Vantage was a celebration of 100 years of technology empowering individuals and businesses. The introduction to this event… yes, you guessed it… a unique rock performance utilizing our eye-controlled Music Tool…. WITH STEVE BALBI, a rock band and Jessica! In front of a reasonably small audience… of 3500 people!!!!!!! They were massive shoes to fill, Jessica has so much respect for Steve and his music, as well as showcasing the Music Tool, if ever Jessica wanted a performance to be the best that she have ever delivered, it was this performance!
Jessica now works for Psykinetic as a website designer, keynote speaker, photographer and musician.
Dare to live outside the box! Achieve the things that nobody thought you could.
